Project Brief
To design a tap with a priority of visual aesthetics and consumer usability, our premium mixer tap will seek to provide satisfaction and comfortability for its users in a bathroom setting. Specifically targeting young to middle aged couples and families (30-40) from affluent backgrounds, our users want the newest model of tap design as they possess a strong awareness and interest in contemporary designs.
Through its unique and eye-catching form, our bathroom mixer tap should be the centre, and focal piece of the room. With an intent to use a collaboration of metals and natural materials, the mixer tap will be able to fit within the modern home aesthetic while also being easy to operate and understand.

Final Prototype
The final model is 3D printed in ABS plastic. After receiving the parts, they were sanded with a high grit sandpaper and sprayed with a primer. Once dry, they were sprayed with a chrome spray paint to convey a smooth and shiny finish.
